Following the success of Midal Cables Ltd., Al Zayani Investments made a strategic move into another downstream Aluminium industry, by establishing AluWheel in 1992 as a joint venture between Alutech (an industrial company comprising AZI, Midal, UGIC and Others ) and BBS Kraftfahrzeugtechnik AG of Germany.

Benefiting significantly from the combined economic advantage of direct low cost Aluminium source and state-of-the-art technology, Aluwheel grew to become the most technologically advanced and successful manufacturer of Aluminium wheel castings in the Gulf region.

During 1996, AluWheel attained ISO 9002 International Award for Quality management Systems and "TUV" Pflaz, Germany product certification. In 1999, AluWheel attained ISO 14001 International Award for Environmental Management System too.

Today, AluWheel enjoys the credibility of being an exporter of over half million wheel castings for well known brand car makers like, Audi, Saab, Volkswagen, Opel, Volvo, Rover, Peugeot, Fiat, Citroen, Honda and many other car makers in Europe and USA through wheel producers. Increasing demand in the market and Aluwheel's credibility makes sure that Aluwheel is on track to enhance its capacity to meet the challenges and to supply completely finished wheels, in the coming years.
