In July 2007, a Joint Venture (JV) Company for the manufacture of wooden cable reels in Bahrain has been incorporated under the name Madem Gulf WLL. The JV is between Madem S/A Industries Brazil holding a majority stake of 51% and Midal Cables holding a 49% stake.

Madem Gulf in Bahrain started its operations in May 2009 producing 50 truckloads of reel kits per month and increasing to 100 truckloads per month in June 2009. Madem Gulf utilizes state-of-the-art automated reel manufacturing lines with a rated capacity of 800,000 wood reels per month. This new plant supplies products in the Middle East that will provide customers with lower inventories while optimizing their logistics.
