Midal Cables Welcomes Students from Jidhafs Secondary Technical School
Midal Cables was pleased to host a group of students from Jidhafs Secondary Technical School for an educational visit. The students were given a guided tour, where they learned about the company’s operations, product range, and various stages of the production process.
During the visit, the students also received an overview of future career opportunities in the aluminium and cable manufacturing sector, reflecting Midal’s commitment to knowledge sharing, youth support, and community engagement.

The initiative was held in support of Think Pink Bahrain, with proceeds directed towards awareness and early detection programs.
Throughout October, Midal Cables organized a series of awareness-focused events including a Walkathon, a health seminar, and general check-ups in cooperation with Bahrain Specialist Hospital. Participation in the “Smash for Pink” competition marked the closing highlight of these activities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to meaningful community engagement.

Midal Cables Hosts Group of the “Takween” Field Training Program
In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Midal Cables recently hosted a cohort of the “Takween” field training program as part of its initiatives aimed at promoting social responsibility and empowering youth in industrial fields.
The trainees were engaged in hands-on training across the company’s IT, Electrical, and Maintenance departments, enabling them to enhance their technical and practical skills and better prepare for integration into the job market.

In line with the Carbon Neutrality Initiative launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to establish Tree Week in the third week of October each year, our CEO and executive management team at Midal Cables participated in a tree planting activity. Midal Cables has concluded its series of activities in support of the annual childhood cancer awareness campaign “Our Children Are Gold” in its twelfth edition, organized each year by the "Smile" Initiative, by hosting an awareness lecture for the executive management and employees on childhood cancer. The session was attended by Mr. Rashed Hamed Alzayani, Managing Director and Board Member of Midal Cables, Mr. Khalid AbdulLatif, Group Chief Executive Officer, in addition to several department heads.
The lecture marked the closing of a month-long set of activities in which Midal Cables actively participated throughout September, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the awareness programs conducted by the Smile Initiative. These activities included the purchase and distribution of gold ribbons to employees, encouraging them to wear the ribbon throughout September as a symbol of solidarity with children battling cancer, along with distributing awareness leaflets and displaying them on the company’s internal screens to help spread knowledge about the disease among employees.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Kholoud Khalifa Al-Saad, Consultant Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Specialist and member of the Smile Initiative. She highlighted multiple aspects of childhood cancer and provided a comprehensive explanation of the key symptoms that must be recognized. She also reviewed available preventive measures and shared simplified information on the high survival rates, which give hope to families and encourage adherence to treatment plans. Dr. Al-Saad emphasized that early diagnosis and early intervention remain the cornerstone for achieving the best outcomes.

As a continuation of our “Beat the Heat, Stay on Your Feet” summer safety campaign, Midal Cables conducted a company-wide Health Check-Up Program aimed at safeguarding the well-being of all employees during the hottest months of the year.
Recognizing that high temperatures can amplify underlying health conditions and affect work performance, this initiative offers comprehensive health screenings for all staff. The check-ups included monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol levels, and other general health indicators that may be impacted by heat or contribute to fatigue, dehydration, or heat-related illness.
By proactively identifying health risks, this program helps ensure that every member of our workforce is equipped to stay healthy, alert, and productive during the summer season. The assessments was carried out on-site by qualified medical professionals.

Midal Cables Launches “Beat the Heat, Stay on Your Feet” Summer Safety Campaign
As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting a culture of health and safety, Midal Cables has launched the “Beat the Heat, Stay on Your Feet” campaign. This summer initiative is designed to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and contractors during the peak heat season.
In line with the recent update to Ministerial Order No. 3 of 2013, which extends the midday work ban to three months—from June 15 to September 15, between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., the campaign focuses on educating the workforce about the new regulations and how to prevent heat-related health issues.
Throughout the campaign, employees and contractors will benefit from awareness sessions delivered in multiple languages, helping them understand the dangers of heat stress and how to stay safe. Informative posters on summer heat safety and first aid response have been placed across the factory to ensure that first responders are well-prepared to handle any emergencies. To further support the well-being of everyone on-site, water, cold juices, and sweetened beverages will be made available to help combat dehydration.
This campaign reflects Midal Cables’ strong dedication to safeguarding its workforce and maintaining a safe, comfortable working environment during the summer months.

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him, the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions held a ceremony on the occasion of International Labor Day, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour.
The ceremony was attended by the Group Chief Executive Officer of Midal Cables and the General Manager of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs. During the event, a distinguished group of outstanding employees from Midal Cables, Aluminum Wheels Company (ALWHEEL), and Bahrain Welding Wire Products Manufacturing Company were honored in recognition of their exceptional contributions and their role in supporting the comprehensive development witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the prosperous reign of His Majesty the King, may God protect him.
